Dr. Ulf Spears, started Strategic Leadership International in 2011 providing clients superior coaching, consulting, mentoring and training services. Prior to starting Strategic Leadership International, Dr. Ulf received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership Coaching as well as a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership (DSL) degree from Regent University. In addition, Dr. Ulf received a B.S. in Psychology from Corban University and an M.S. in Management from University of Phoenix. With the knowledge he has gained from higher education and prior work experience, Dr. Ulf provides mentoring/coaching to individuals making career changes. He also is an adjunct professor for several colleges in the Portland area and focuses on leadership, management, human development, and business as well as providing masters thesis project coaching. He also works as a mentor/coach to small business owners as well as those leading and managing nonprofits. Finally, Dr. Ulf is an expert coach to families and is the author of the book "Coaching Leadership Families", a manual for training, mentoring and coaching leadership families.
Coaching Philosophy: Dr. Ulf’s coaching philosophy is to care for the individual enough to speak the truth while using relational glue to hold everything together. In addition, he believes that individual empowerment is at the center of great coaching and directing individuals to find their niche/calling in life is his coaching goal. Why Coach? Dr. Ulf coaches because he believes coaching is an amazing vehicle/tool to bring deep change to individual lives. He also believes that coaching and mentoring is part of his life calling.
